Victor Rasuk Is Perfect In “Raising Victor Vargas”

Posted on January 8, 2010

In his very first movie , Victor Rasuk has accomplished something even the best of the best are unable to do. "Raising Victor Vargas," which stars Rasuk, was able to score a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. While its T-meter score slid to 96%, whats more impressive is that its "Top Critics" score remains perfect.  By comparison, summer blockbuster and James Cameron masterpiece "Avatar" comes in at 94%.

The movie, written and directed by Peter Sollett in 2003, stars Rasuk as Victor Vargas, a Lower East Side teenager who struggles to find some sanity while his image as a ladies man is shattered when he is found in Fat Donna's bedroom. Soon, as a result of his sister's big mouth, the whole Dominican community knows. Full of confidence, Victor sets out to reclaim his image by winning Judy. Judy proves to be elusive and difficult but Victor persists, and with a surprising tenderness, ultimately wins Judy's heart..
