Posted on November 12, 2009

In the latest Buzz, HBO gives us a sneak peak at a few new highly anticipated shows set to air in early 2010. The first, which appears that it will carry on the long legacy of great HBO dramas is "Boardwalk Empire."   Empire will show the rise of organized crime in 1920's Atlantic City. The projects pilot is being directed by Martin Scorses.  There is nobody better at depicting organize crime than Scorsese, whos  masterpieces Goodfellas and Casino remain the gold standard for gangster films.  Expect more of the same this time around when Steve Buscemi and Michael Pitt lead this ensemble cast.

Another highly anticipated show is "How to Make It in America." The show is produced by Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson of "Entourage" fame. How to Make It in America will follow the lives of two twenty-somethings taking their shot at becoming rich and famous on the griddy streets of New York City. Bryan Greenberg and Victor Rasuk are set to lead a cast that also features hip hop recording artist Scott "Kid Cudi" Mescudi.
