Kid Cudi Makes Name For Himself

Kid Cudi
Scott 'Kid Cudi' Mescudi burst onto the hip hop scene last year with the release of his single "Day and Night." Mescudi has also been working on making a name for himself in Hollywood, literally. Earlier this year he was cast for the new HBO comedy "How to Make It in America." His character, Domingo Dean was originally slated for a comic relief role, but as his star power continue to rise, series writers have worked to give him an even larger role. "My character's name is Domingo Dean. I actually named my character after both my brothers -- Dean, who lives in Phoenix , being one of them, and Domingo. It was important to me early on to branch away from music and actually do something outside my comfort zone. When we were developing my character with the writers, I was telling them, 'Man, I don't want to be anything that has to do with music,' just because that's not really acting." (Source)
